Counseling potential, private practice

Kaia Kordic MS, LMFT

In-person (Eureka, CA) and Telehealth

Welcome! I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California (#95522). I have been in Carework for 17 years overall and I have been providing therapy for over 10 years! I started as a behavioral support aide to a disabled child during college, and went on to start my clinical career in 2011. Since then I have expanded my practices beyond psychotherapy, but still maintain an active caseload and a passion for delving into the worlds of my clients.

I did my undergrad in Philosophy & Religion, and my Masters in Counseling, both at San Francisco State University. Over the years I have done some trainings that have become integral to my personhood and practices. These include Resmaa Menakem’s two-year formal Somatic Abolitionism Training Program for Therapists, and most recently, the Integrative Psychiatry Institute’s Psychedelic Assisted Therapy Training Program.

My practice is antiracist, LGBTQIA+, sex/kink/polyam, fat, trans, first gen, neurodivergent affirming.

My therapy orientation

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Existentialism, Somatic Abolitionism

ideal clients

I particularly enjoy working with Rhizomatic (non-linear) thinkers, conscious spiritual weirdos, queer people, un-learners, radicals and meaning-seekers.

Celesté Tamayo, AMFT

In-person (Eureka, CA) and Telehealth

Hello! I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (#140701). Being a part of this new generation of therapists has shaped the way I approach therapy as I strive to ensure that mental health services are accessible to underserved communities and BIPOC folks, and provide a nonjudgmental space for people to navigate the ins and outs of life, while at the same time building resilience in ways that feel empowering.

I’m Chicana, born and raised in SoCal (originally from Los Angeles) living in Humboldt. I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at Cal Poly Humboldt. In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, and trying out new café’s all over the PNW.

My therapy orientation

I approach therapy from a multicultural, intersectional, and decolonized lens. Pulling from liberation psychology, radical therapy, and feminist theory, I create an inclusive space where everyone can explore their values and honor all parts of themselves. Life can be difficult, stressful, and chaotic in a society that forces an agenda where we’re expected to give 110%. Having a soft, cozy space to fall into for support can be helpful. I want to empower people to make meaningful changes in their lives that’s within their capacity in ways that feel supportive. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety or depression, navigating relationships, or wanting to process a difficult transition in your life, I hope to provide a space where you are able to feel empowered.

ideal clients
